Nevertheless is part of a collection exploring resilience, restoration, and the tension between chaos and control. The bowed blue blooms suggest weariness and vulnerability, while their vibrant color and enduring presence speak to perseverance in the face of adversity.
Created by contemporary artist Brittany Quiroz, the work is deeply informed by her experience living with Multiple Sclerosis. Through bold color, texture, and symbolic forms, Quiroz explores what it means to navigate an unpredictable body while continuing to create, hope, and flourish despite limitation-a reflection of the faith that sustains her through uncertainty and inspires perseverance. Beneath each painting lies a textured foundation inspired by neural pathways, a subtle tribute to the neurological realities of Multiple Sclerosis.
The striped vessel serves as an anchor-holding both beauty and burden with quiet strength.
Though the flowers bend beneath unseen weight, they remain rooted and alive. The title, nevertheless, reflects the conviction that hardship does not have the final word.
