This piece is a cameraless photograph of an 8x10” painting. The painting was upcycled oil based house paint on glass. As far as the label, it is a “cameraless photograph of painting” .As a photographer, printmaker, painter, these mediums tend to blend quite often and the end result is something that could not be achieved with any singular medium.

Alex Dafnis is an artist who expresses his creativity through various mediums such as painting, photography, printmaking, sculpture, woodworking and music. All of these mediums work with one another to create art that blurs the lines between these different disciplines. His practices are driven by his passion to create new and undiscovered techniques and processes through experimentation. Splitting time between his two studios, in Oakland and San Diego, his inspiration from quiet beach towns to the big city shows in the contrast and variety of his works.
