When it comes to creating my collages, I use a mixture of vintage SURFER Magazines, Surfer’s Journals, and my favorite ones to rip through, National Geographic. A few years back I bought the entire year of 1970’s National Geographic from EBay, and I am just obsessed with the beautiful photography that is captured in them. That is where the image of the young puma and the funky black and yellow image behind him is from. My vintage SURFER Magazines and Surfer’s Journals range from the years 1980 to about 2010. I love combining old surf photography and advertisements with the photography of nature captured in the National Geographic’s. All of my frames are thrifted and I find joy in reusing old posters and flyers that would otherwise be thrown away. I have been collaging for about 4 years now. I also enjoy painting, drawing, ceramics and woodworking.
