A generative poetry workshop that explores how we give language to the qualities food, flavor, and the rituals that come with it.
Poetry has the power to hold a routine experience up to the light and paint a vivid picture of its layers, textures, and otherwise overlooked nuances.
This workshop is in invitation to take a closer look at how writers have related to food in their work and how we can deepen the way that we ourselves write about the experience of food, taste, and rituals of mealtime.
This evening of creative writing is for writers of all experience or anybody seeking a new creative outlet.
Together we will explore prompts, readings, exercises, and group conversation to help facilitate creativity and open up new ideas and perspectives to bring to the page.
Please bring a notebook and something to write with.
