In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn the fundamentals of wax-to-metal jewelry casting, an ancient process often called lost-wax casting.
During this class, you’ll carve and sculpt your design in special casting wax, shaping it by hand into a ring, pendant, charm, small sculpture or whatever you envision!! You’ll gain a clear understanding of the mesmerizing full casting process, from wax carving and spruing to how molds are made and metal is poured, so you leave with both hands-on experience and a solid grasp of how wax becomes metal.
Your wax piece will then be professionally cast after the workshop into solid bronze or brass. Rather than casting on-site, each piece is sent out to be cast and finished, allowing for a clean, professional result. Your completed metal piece will be shipped directly to your home approximately one week later.
This class is beginner-friendly and process-focused, AND SO FUN! With space to experiment, refine your form, and work intuitively. No prior jewelry experience is needed.
All tools and materials are provided, and shipping of your finished piece is included.
