Solar Collage - Fri, 7/24
Unwind, create, and connect in a hands-on workshop designed to channel your inner artist and shake up your creative routine. In this sensory studio experience, we are diving into the magic of cyanotype—a historic, camera-less photography process—to print multi-layered compositions directly onto light-sensitive paper. We’ll be vibing to a curated, genre-blurring playlist engineered to get you out of your head and into your creative flow as you design.
Each person will get a 11x17 poster size watercolor paper to print on.
Instead of just gluing paper together, you will learn to build a physical collage directly on the page using a mix of high-contrast imagery, textiles, and organic elements to create gorgeous depth, shadows, and moody visuals. Once your signature Prussian blue prints are developed, we will tap into a bit of kitchen alchemy. Using natural botanical baths like rich espresso, black tea, and red wine, you will learn to tone down the classic blues into stunning sepias, warm grays, and vintage, earthy tones.
Whether you consider yourself an artist, a casual crafter, or someone who hasn't touched a paintbrush since middle school, this space is for you. Come solo to meet like-minded creatives, or grab your best friends for a unique, art-filled afternoon.
12-2pm
Led by The Good Farewell.
Please note: Cancellations within 48 hours of the workshop cannot be refunded or rescheduled, as our teachers and team prepare materials and supplies specifically for each participant. Thank you for your understanding.
