Slow down and learn the timeless craft of embroidery in this beginner-friendly, hands-on class. We’ll start with the very basics, building a foundation you can return to again and again. Learn the basics of embroidery techniques and stitches, and complete a simple piece. This class is entry level, with hands-on guidance, suggestions for trouble shooting, and an opportunity to have all your embroidery questions answered. Materials to use and class & take home provided.
Learn how to secure your embroidery hoop, running stitch, chain stitch, satin stitch and french knot as well as suggestions for how to embroider text and translate ideas into a design. Infinitely reusable bamboo embroidery hoops, needles and embroidery thread are provided for class use and to take home, and you’re welcome to bring your own materials as well. Once the class has hit their stride, herbal tea from the Dear Tomorrow gardens and organic herbs will be served.
Out-of-practice embroiderers and intermediates are welcome. Refresh your skills, and build to your next level. A space to learn, ask questions, receive help, and brainstorm ideas to embroider the design of your dreams.
