Crochet 101 & Tea - Sun, 5/3
Enjoy a cozy afternoon of crafting, tea, and community. Learn the basics of crochet techniques and stitches, and complete a square that can be used as a coaster, a patch, a bookmark, a potholder, or continued at home into a scarf. This class is an entry level class with hands-on guidance, suggestions for trouble shooting, and an opportunity to have all your crochet questions answered. Materials to use and class & take home provided.
Learn how to hold your hook and yarn, chain stitch, single crochet, how to turn rows, double crochet, increase and decrease as well as techniques to prevent hand and wrist pain. Crochet hooks and luxurious handspun tencel & wool yarns are provided for class use and to take home, and you’re welcome to bring your own materials as well. Once the class has hit their stride, herbal tea from the Dear Tomorrow gardens and organic herbs will be served.
Out-of-practice crocheters and intermediates are welcome. Refresh your skills, and build to your next level. A space to learn, ask questions, receive help, and brainstorm ideas to crochet your dreams!
