Community Art House Program
Open to Southern California artists working in all mediums
The Program
For the first time we are filling the walls with local artists for a long term exhibition & shop.
We’re calling local artists in painting, drawing, photography, textile art, ceramics, and material-driven work that lives on or against the wall.
This is a chance to apply and place your work inside a shared home, seen daily by a rotating community of hundreds of visitors each month, & available for purchase through the Dear Tomorrow’s online shop.
Each piece lives in the house for the duration of the season, forming a collective installation that evolves as work is added and sold.
Timeline
Applications are open until the house feels complete. Once full, submissions will close for Season 1. Selected works will remain on view through September 21st.
We encourage early applications, pieces are reviewed as they come in.
How it Works.
Selected works will be installed at Dear Tomorrow, & photographed in house for our online shop. All sales are handled through the Dear Tomorrow website. Visitors can purchase directly through the website while experiencing the house.
Artists receive 70% of each sale.
Work must be ready to install. Maximum weight: 50 lbs. (If your work exceeds this, email us, we may still be able to accommodate it).
Dear Tomorrow receives a 30% commission upon sale of the piece to cover taxes, transaction fees, & operational costs.
If selected we will be in contact. Thank you for applying and participating in grassroots creative spaces.
Dear Tomorrow, is committed to fostering a creative community that reflects a wide range of experiences. We especially encourage applications from artists whose voices have historically been underrepresented in the arts.
